A Church of England Primary school in the heart of the village
The school is situated in the centre of Westbury-on-Severn village with the main school entrance at the end of a lane to the left, as you approach from Gloucester.
The school visits the local church for its special services such as Easter and Harvest. The Year 6s participate in the Leavers' Service at Gloucester Cathedral every summer.
The school has three large classrooms, with a smaller classroom for Pre-school next door to the Reception/Y1 class. Both EYFS classrooms have access to a small terraced area for outdoor play. We have a large, airy, high ceilinged modern hall where we meet for Worship, eat lunch together, play music and have indoor PE lessons. We have 2 rooms set aside for ELSA (our Pastoral Care approach). Upstairs we have a small library next to the staff room.
Outside, we are blessed with a good sized playground, a garden area, which has a trim trail for climbing and playing. Beyond this we have a Forest School Area, which has mature trees and a pond.
We also have a very large field, overlooking the River Severn, which has a football pitch and is used for PE lessons as well as lunchtime play on dryer days.
