At Westbury, we pride ourselves on providing a wide range of extra curricular activities in school.
We work closely with Dene Magna school for our extra curricular sports fixtures which have included football (girls and boys), Kurling, Cross Country running to name a few.
Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Community Volunteers offer their own after school/Lunchtime clubs which have included:
- Chess Club
- Lego Club
- Board Games Club
- Christmas Choir
- Drama Club
- Kindness Club
- Eco Warriors
- Craft Club
This list is not exhaustive and changes termly- some clubs are in place all year round, some are more seasonal. We send an email out before the term begins for parents to sign up their children.
We employ Progressive Sports every Monday and they run a Lunchtime Football Club all year round, either on the field or in the playground.
They also run a Multisports club for different ages each term after school.
All of the above clubs are provided FREE OF CHARGE.
We also have a Karate Club that we host every Thursday after school, this is the only club that comes with a charge.
Pupils have the opportunity to learn Drums and/or Violin in school on a 1:1 basis with a specialist teacher- this comes with a charge. If you are interested in this for your child, please ask at the school office and we can put you in touch with the music teachers.
