Oak Class (Y4/5/6)

Welcome to Oak Class!

We are a mixed age class of Y4/Y5 and Y6 pupils.

Our class teacher is Mrs Roseblade-Bargh; she's in class Monday to Thursday. Mrs Smith and Mrs Armstrong teach the class on a Friday. Mrs Cracknell and Mrs Noad are our TAs. Mrs Cracknell is in on a Tuesday morning and all day Wednesday and Thursday. Mrs Noad is in for the mornings all week.

Our whole class PE is now on a Friday afternoon with Mrs Smith AND and Monday afternoon with Progressive sports. Please wear PE kit on these days.

Our theme is ‘Destination Westbury!'

This term we will be exploring our local area. We will be looking at the history of Westbury and the neighbouring areas. We’ll explore the local landmarks - finding out about the old workhouse, the church and the school.

Books

Fancy some reading about our theme? Here are some of the books we’ll be reading, sharing and exploring this term:

  •        The Grimm Fairy Tales
  •        The Mermaid of Zennor by Charles Causley
  •        Jabberwocky Poem by Lewis Carroll

Year 4 times table check

We'll be administering the Multiplication Tables Check to year 4 pupils during July. It is so helpful when they practise their tables at home. This website is very similar to the test.

Please log on to time tables rock starts regularly too.

Have a look at our Theme Sheet. There's lots of information on here about what we're going to be exploring this term and things you might find useful!
At the end of Autumn term 1, Oak class headed to Berkeley Castle! We had a Tudor dance class in 'The Great Hall', learnt all about the history of the Castle and what life may have been like there hundreds of years ago.
